Protecting your Personally Identifiable Information

All business be they physical or virtual want to know who their customers are and how they shop. This is evident by the abundance of membership cards, signup sheets, and surveys conducted after a purchase.

When shopping, if you want to use a rewards card, use a disposable email address, phone, and physical address if possible. Also make sure to opt-out of as much as possible to still retain the benefits you want. When making an online purchase, look for the opt-out box for any marketing and make sure you are using online security and privacy tools to limit the follow through adds.
